Allaero is one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of aircraft parts to corporate jet operators, based in Crawley and strategically positioned near London Gatwick Airport. Established in 1988, the company supports operators, maintenance facilities, and flight departments worldwide with parts for a wide range of business jets, turboprops, and helicopters.
With a growing inventory and an expanding operation, Allaero required a full plumbing and electrical installation across their warehouse facility. The warehouse is a steel frame structure, part brick, part metal framework, with a warehouse floor and an office space above, with specific requirements for power distribution, lighting, and plumbing.
We were tasked with delivering the electrical and plumbing package across the full site, ensuring the facility was equipped to support Allaero’s day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations.
Our electricians began with a survey of the existing infrastructure before designing and installing a system to meet the demands of a busy warehouse environment. New metal containment was installed throughout, with surface-mounted cable tray work running the length of the building to house the electrical distribution.
Power provision included a new three-phase distribution board, with a combination of single-phase and three-phase socket outlets and commando outlets positioned across the warehouse floor.
Lighting across the warehouse was delivered using LED vapour-proof batten fittings with integrated emergency lighting, chosen for their durability and low energy consumption in a large-volume storage environment. The office space above received its own dedicated lighting installation to suit a working environment.
On the plumbing side, we installed a hot water cylinder to serve the localised toilet and sink facilities within the building. An air line was also installed, in blue pipework alongside the metal containment, to provide compressed air throughout the warehouse. This allows Allaero’s team to run pneumatic tools and equipment directly from the warehouse floor, a practical requirement for a facility handling aircraft parts and components. Standard tap outlets were installed to complete the bathroom and kitchen facilities.
The result was a fully commissioned electrical and plumbing installation, delivered to the standard required for a specialist aviation parts facility serving operators and flight departments across the globe.
